Don’t you have dogs in Holland? [google google google] Yes, you absolutely do! There are some right here: http://www.dierenasiels.com/. Searchability is terrible, but you might be able to slog through and find a match.
The most beautiful dog is always your own dog. If your dog gets enough exercise, other people will think it is beautiful too and strangers will talk to you. (So get a dog that you can exercise properly! Small dogs are much easier for urban dwellers to exercise.)

I know, I’ve always wanted a dog, my dad is alergic so I never had one when I still lived with my parents. And now I live on 25m2 (80 feet) in an aprtment and I’m gone more then 40 hours a week for work and other things, I wouldn’t do that to any dog, long hours of staying alone. Dogs are social animals after all. Maybe later on when my life isn’t so hectic and full (As if!) :).
